You are already on a business's website. The extension reads the email addresses and social profiles that site publishes, shows them in a panel, and puts them in your FindAndClose account — one click, no copy-paste, no tab-switching.
After the first install and sign-in, using it is a single click on a page you were already reading.
Add it from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to the toolbar. It works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc and any other Chromium browser.
Paste your account key, or click through the sign-in flow. The key is stored locally in the browser and is the only thing the extension remembers.
A supplier, a prospect, a listing you found on a map — anything with a contact page. The extension does nothing until you click it.
The panel lists every address and profile it found. Deselect anything you do not want and push the rest into your account, where it joins your exports.

Chrome will phrase this as "read and change your data on the site you are on". It is
granted one tab at a time, only at the moment you click the toolbar icon, and it
lapses when you navigate away. We are not asking for <all_urls>,
which is what would let an extension read every page you open, forever, without
telling you.
scripting
Finding the addresses means running a small parser inside the page. It runs once, on the page you clicked, and it only reads — it never types into forms, clicks links, or changes what you see. The parser is the same code that runs in our crawler.
storage
Your API key and two preferences live in the browser's own extension storage. They stay on your machine. If you sign out, they are deleted. Nothing else is kept locally — not a page, not a URL, not a history entry.

The one outbound destination the extension is allowed to reach. What is sent is the contacts you chose to save and the URL they came from, so the record has provenance. The page content itself is parsed locally and never leaves your browser.

The extension cannot see what other tabs you have open, what you visited yesterday, or what you have bookmarked. It has no idea a page exists until you click the icon on it. Any extension in this category asking for these is worth uninstalling.

No access to your cookies, your Google account, or your network traffic. Which also means the extension cannot read anything behind a login on your behalf — if you can only see a contact because you are signed in somewhere, we will not take it.
Open chrome://extensions, click Details on any extension, and read "Site
access". If it says "On all sites" and the extension does not need to be, that is your
answer. Ours will say "On click", because that is the only mode it supports. Hold every
other extension you have installed to the same test.

No. Contacts you pull from a page you are already on do not touch your monthly lead
credits — credits are spent on exports out of the index, not on things you found
yourself. The counter in the panel says 0 credits used because it means
it.
