How to cancel your subscription
Cancelling is a button in the dashboard, not an email to support. It takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. What you keep afterwards.
Cancelling is self-service. Account → Subscriptions → Cancel subscription. You will be asked to confirm, and you will see the exact date access ends before you commit. You do not have to write to support, sit through a retention call, or give notice.
When it takes effect
At the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancel on the 3rd of a monthly plan that renews on the 28th and you keep the full plan — allowance included — until the 28th. Nothing is prorated back, because nothing is cut short.
What happens on the end date
| Thing | What happens |
|---|---|
| Further billing | None. The subscription does not renew. |
| Files already downloaded | Yours, permanently. |
| Export history in the app | Readable and re-downloadable for the retention period your plan gave each file. |
| Unused credits | Expire with the subscription, rolled-over ones included. |
| Searching | Reverts to a free account: search and count, no new exports. |
| API keys | Stop authenticating. |
| Scheduled exports and webhooks | Stop firing. |
| Your account | Stays open unless you close it. |
Download anything you still need first
Export retention is measured from the export date, not from your cancellation — 30 days on Starter, 90 on Growth, twelve months on Scale. A file that was already close to the edge of that window does not get a reprieve because you are leaving, so pull anything you still want before you cancel rather than after.
Cancelling an annual plan
The same button. Access continues to the end of the twelve-month term. Annual plans cancelled after the 14-day refund window are not refunded for the remaining months — you keep the access instead.
Changing your mind
Re-subscribe from the same screen at any point before the end date and the cancellation is simply undone. After the end date, re-subscribing works too; it starts a new period with a new allowance.
